We don't want your data.

Short version: no accounts, no cookies, no ads, and no analytics or tracking scripts on Milk Code Finder.

What happens when you search

• Your browser downloads the plant list for the state number you typed (for example, the file for state 24) and searches it on your device.
• Like any website, our host (Netlify) receives standard request information — your IP address, browser type, and which files were requested — and may keep it in server logs. Because the state file name is requested, the host can see which state number you looked up. It does not see the plant number you typed.
• Comparison prices, brands and gallons per week are calculated on your device and never sent anywhere.

The distance feature

Only if you choose to enter a ZIP code, your browser downloads a small file of ZIP locations that share your ZIP's first two digits and does the math on your device. Your full ZIP is never sent to us and is never put in a link. We never ask for your precise location.

Share links

A shared result link contains only the plant code (for example ?code=24-013), or two plant codes for a comparison. It never includes your ZIP, prices, or brands.

Things other companies may see

Our fonts and scripts are served from this site, not from third parties. Other companies only get involved if you tap one of these links:

• Google Maps: only if you tap “Search on Google Maps”.
• FDA: only if you tap “Verify on FDA list”.

Saved on your device

To make repeat visits fast and to work with a weak signal, your browser may keep a copy of this tool's pages and data files (a service-worker cache). It contains only public plant data. You can clear it anytime in your browser's site settings.
